This is how our Leyburn shop was described by a recent customer, who is now a regular visitor at the Northallerton shop, who went on to add,

We are building a reputation as a good quality, friendly, independent record shop where lovers of vinyl and music memorabilia can spend time browsing through our ever-changing selection of LP's and singles whilst listening to selected tracks.

Our standards of the quality of vinyl is second to none - we don't sell scratched records, even the cheap ones!

A large collection of original UK 60's 7" singles plus over 500 US 7" imports from the 60's and 70's including demo's
Varied collections of UK and US soul, including Motown, Northern, Philly and Atlantic + a large collection of over 1,000 mint condition Soul, Funk & Dance compilations; double and triple LP's featuring artists from the 60s to 90s + 100's of 70s & 80s 12", dance and rap 12" & picture discs

February 2012 - New stock in the shop this month includes a collection of 500 near mint 90's LP's £ 12" including Stone Roses, U2, Depeche Mode, The Fall, Smiths, Julian Cope, Charlatans and most of the popular bands & singers from this period.

The Betterdaze Format policy:

We are a traditional vinyl-only Record Shop and we believe that, after live performance, the only way to hear good music is on vinyl. Therefore, any customer heard uttering the two letters found between 'B' and 'E' in the alphabet will be subject to a 50p fine. This will not be given to charity but will be spent on biscuits for the staff. Refusal to pay will mean the offending customer being forced to listen to a Robbie Williams record!! Aaaagh!!
