40th Birthday party - October 2008
I hired a jukebox as a surprise for my husbands 40th birthday at Penleys restaurant in Leyburn. I would recommend this service to anyone with a passing interest in music - we are "children of the 80s" and Gary let me fill the Juke Box with all my husband favourite records, there were some rare ones on the list (yes, i did my own "playlist") and Gary was really helpful in locating them.
The service was second - to -none and the Juke Box itself was ADORABLE!! It made a really interesting change from the usual disco and created a real talking point among our friends.
I will definitely be hiring one for my 40th!

I would like to say what a great night we had on Saturday night at our Silver Wedding Party, we had both young and old there and everyone made selections on the Juke Box and had a good dance. It was the 3rd time we had booked it, 1st time was for a 50th, 2nd time for an 18th and it was so easy we had a good selection of records that we left for you to choose, everyone thought it was great and I will certainly book it again if we ever have another house party,

Retirement Party
I wanted something different for my husbands early retirement party which was to be held at home. Not having many up to date cd's, a Juke Box seemed a good idea. Guests at the party thought it was fantastic , not only the novelty of it but being able to choose the songs they liked. The sound quality on vinyl was superb. The service of delivery and collection was excellent, and it was brilliant value for money. I would not hesitate to hire another Juke Box from Gary Lewis.

I was determined to have a juke box with Rock ‘n Roll music to give an authentic feel to our themed fancy dress party. ‘Betterdaze’ were the only Juke Box hire company I could find who would deliver to Scarborough.
I was very impressed with your friendly, efficient service, but most of all I was impressed with the Juke Box itself. It was everything I imagined and was the focal point for the whole evening. Everyone loved the selection of music and the dance floor was full of Rock ‘n Rollers all night.

"After seeing a Betterdaze Juke Box at a local wedding fayre we decided to hire one for our July 2008 wedding. The service we received from our initial contact with Gary through to the actual wedding day itself was excellent. All correspondence we had with Gary was efficient, informative and friendly. The Juke Box list was great fun to put together in the run up to the wedding and we invited guests to get involved by including their music choices with their RSVPs. Gary can source virtually any record pre 1995 and post 1995 there is an easily accessed list on the Betterdaze website. We had numerous changes to our list as 'must have' songs suddenly popped into our heads in the last week before the wedding and Gary accommodated these despite the short time frame. A nice touch was the top 20 song list which allowed us to dedicate certain tracks to special guests on the day (their name was printed next to the song title) - this was greatly appreciated by our guests! Our guests both young and old loved the Juke Box and I would recommend the service provided by Gary to any couple considering hiring a Juke Box for their wedding. We had a relatively small family wedding and a Juke Box was so much more fun than a DJ!"

We hired a Juke Box in 07 for a joint birthday bash, age range was from
3 to 50 something, everybody without exception had a great night.
People who had last been seen bopping sometime around the late 1970's
were up on the floor. The range of music, which people had chosen
themselves meant that there was something for everybody, and with
nearly 200 tracks top choose from nothing got played over and over.
This year (08) we did the same again and one individual who had NEVER
been seen to dance got up and "gave it large"
again the Juke Box was the centrepiece of the night!

"I hired a Juke Box from Betterdaze for the first time for a corporate event and couldn't have been more surprised by the reaction it received.
I wanted to create a 1950's American diner themed event for the re-launch of a Ford car dealership and the Juke Box became the centre piece of the whole event. Staff and guests alike made a beeline straight for it and were amazed by both the vintage style of the Juke Box itself and by the vintage vinyl supplied.
It looked fantastic within the venue and was a key feature in the press photography taken on the day.
I was particularly impressed by the selection of music that Gary picked out for the event- I requested 1950's American tunes and the selection provided was fantastic.

Just to say the Juke Box gave hours of enjoyment on our wedding day, from my 19month old son to my 80 year old mother-in-law were all dancing well past midnight!!!!!!
Everybody is still talking about it now, and the personal song dedications you provided on the Juke Box have been passed on as memoirs from the day.The service was super and I wouldn't hesitate to ring Gary again to sort out another party. We have one in the diary already and my Mum is compiling a list of her favourites for her 60th birthday next January, so ill be in touch....

Our Juke Box is fully loaded now and used on a daily basis. Great sound and good to get all the old singles out again - I'd forgotten what I'd stashed away.
Who would have thought that day we came to Leyburn to do a bit of shopping we would have ended up buying a Juke Box from you.
"I'll just have a look in here while we wait for that shop to re-open", I told Michelle before crossing the road to your shop. Now 2 weeks later it's used all the time and everyone we tell says 'WOW'

We hired a Juke Box from Betterdaze for our wedding in August 2008. We found the entire system from booking to delivery to be absolutely 1st class, with all our questions answered almost immediately.
As for the Juke Box itself, well wow! What a fantastic way to entertain a crowd of well over 200 people - really got everyone up on the dance floor and was a beautiful way to compliment the band during breaks. 60th birthday with a party in a garage in Norfolk:
When we decided to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday with a party in the garage where he normally keeps some classic cars, everyone joked about having a Juke Box to complete the “garage diner” theme. How wonderful that our daughters decided to surprise us and found Gary at Betterdaze Juke Boxes. Amazingly he was willing to come all the way from Yorkshire to Norfolk to bring us the Juke Box ready filled with exactly the right music for a collection of youngsters who grew up in the 60s and 70s and including all our favourite tunes. As soon as we saw it, we all wished we could keep the beautiful machine and its records for ever. Our friends were thrilled to choose their favourite songs and it made the evening. We all danced till late, eventually leaving the younger generation still bopping! Gary was so kind to come all this way and we will all remember a very special party – the one with the Juke Box!

Just a few words to thank you very much for providing the Juke Box at our recent 110th birthday party - a shared 50th & 60th celebration for my friend Barbara & I and making it such a special occasion.
This is the first time I've hired a Juke Box and would thoroughly recommend Betterdaze to anyone holding an event. From making the booking, to the Juke Box being picked up after the party was totally stress free, efficient & straightforward . Choosing the music for the playlist was great fun, it brought back many special memories from over the years. The wow factor for guests arriving and seeing the Juke Box was great, we knew from their reactions & comments that the party was going to be a memorable one! The age range of the guests at our party was from 5 to almost 90, there was no worry about a disco or a band being too loud so that people couldn't talk. We kept the volume turned reasonably low, as background music, to start with but once the supper was over the sound was turned up & the dancing continued until the early hours of the following morning! A Betterdaze Juke Box allows flexibility and fun and is a perfect way of providing music for a special occasion, you choose the music that you & your guests want to hear - at the volume you want! No one was disappointed!

Just a brief note to say thank you for the hire of Juke Box which we used for our staff party last Friday.
As we usually hire in a DJ or band I was a little apprehensive as to how the juke-box would go down with people, however to my surprise everyone loved it and enjoyed being able to choose the songs that they wanted to here- even through there were a few dodgy numbers up there!
We have a wide array of different people of all age ranges so the selection of songs was an instant hit and there was something to suit everyone.
We had a great night and danced into the early hours. Will definitely recommend and will use again in the future, great for any type of party.

My new husband is a retro nut, so a juke box was the ideal way of delivering music at his surprise 50th Birthday party back in December 2007. When I finally managed to track down somewhere to hire such an oddity, I found Gary and his huge music collection. It went down a storm with everybody as they could all select the music they wanted to dance to, so when we were planning our recent wedding (29th August 2009) we just had to book the Juke Box again. The younger guests thought it was really 'cool' and queued up to watch the records change (something that we older kids grew up with and took for granted!).

We absolutely loved the jukebox we hired for our sons wedding celebration on the 26th September 2009.
The music choice was brilliant and everyone was up and dancing until the early hours.
The only problem was the so called grown ups squabbling over whose turn it was to choose the music!!
The lights and bubble machine were great fun.
I would recommend a Juke Box over a DJ any day

The juke box could be turned up or down for background music. A disco would have overpowered the event. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful evening. Once again many Thanks for all your help.

Melmerby Village (Ripon) Christmas Ball 2009 We have tried live bands and discos for the village Christmas Ball but the Juke Box beat them all. Gary was great to deal with and the Juke Box provided hours of entertainment and excellent music. People just loved being able to gather around the Juke Box and select their own music, a great night was had by all. From an organisers point of view it gave us the ability to involve the guests in the slection of the dance music, control the volume and the finish time. It made the evening easy to keep going and the feedback from the guest was, " A great night we must do it again". One tip, just give Gary some guidelines and then let him choose the music. It saves you hassle and you get an expert to mix the music. Would definitely use Betterdaze again Thanks, John Kirkman
